Organizing the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025

In order to honor readers, creators, publishers, printers, distributors, libraries, book keepers, collectors, promoters and organizations and individuals who have contributed to the development of reading culture in the community and enhance the responsibility of all levels, sectors, functional agencies, and social organizations in building and developing reading culture in Cao Bang province, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to organize the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 in the province.

Organizing the Book and Reading Culture Festival with activities to promote books, tell stories and imitate books, draw pictures according to books, arrange books artistically, exchange and discuss books and reading culture, honor readers, creators, librarians, preserve, collect, promote books and contribute to the development of reading culture; donate, support and give away books, exchange old books for new books, organize reading promotion activities, guide reading methods and skills, develop skills in searching, exploiting and using information. Organize discussions, exchange knowledge about reading trends, share information on how to use technology and new electronic reading platforms to encourage reading, such as: digital reading trends, audio books, interactive books and new technologies such as: artificial intelligence and virtual reality; organize clubs, create online reading groups to discuss works through online platforms.

Effectively carry out communication and book promotion work, honor typical collectives and individuals in publishing activities, develop reading culture on media, newspapers, technology platforms, and social networks to widely spread the value of books and reading culture in the community, contribute to building spiritual and cultural life, promote ethical values, and the tradition of studiousness of the nation.

The activities of the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 will be held from April to May 2025; focusing on April 15 to May 2, 2025. Based on the actual situation, agencies, units and localities will proactively choose a suitable time to implement activities in response to the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025. Select some messages in response to this year's Book and Reading Culture Day: "Reading culture - Connecting the community"; "Entering the era of national growth with books"; "Reading books - enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity".

Provincial departments, branches, sectors, unions, People's Committees of districts and cities, based on the functions, tasks, and actual conditions of agencies, units, and localities, organize activities to respond to Book and Reading Culture Day in the following forms: Organize propaganda to all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in agencies and units about the role, significance, and importance of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. Organize exchanges and talks about "Book and Reading Culture Day" associated with political activities at agencies, units, and activities, family bookcases, clan bookcases, agency bookcases, and community bookcases. Organize activities to support and donate books to disadvantaged units, units working in border areas, remote areas, and especially disadvantaged areas.
