Seminar on regional linkage in consumption of cooperative products

On the afternoon of October 20, at Hoa Lu Hotel, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized a seminar on regional linkage in consuming cooperative products.

Attending the event were leaders of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; leaders of some provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of districts and cities; cooperatives, cooperative unions of provinces and cities in the Red River Delta and some neighboring provinces, provinces with twinning programs and coordination programs.

In recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee have issued many policies and guidelines to support the socio -economy in general and the collective economy in particular, such as Resolution No. 05 of the Provincial Party Committee, Resolution No. 113, Resolution 32 of the Provincial People's Council on developing agricultural economy towards commodity production, applying high technology, advanced and sustainable production forms; Project No. 16 of the Provincial People's Committee on developing the collective economy in the period of 2021-2025.

Every year, the provincial budget has supported from 70 to nearly 100 billion VND to support safe agricultural production models, applying high technology; production models associated with value chains, which are the direction that has been interested in by all levels, sectors and production entities, have formed many typical models, products, OCOP products, thereby forming 153 products certified as OCOP products from 3 stars or more... have been and are bringing high commodity value, gradually affirming the brand of products in the market inside and outside the province.

Implementing policies, resolutions and projects to support the construction of production cooperative models associated with the value chain of Ninh Binh province, in recent years, the Provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated with departments, branches, sectors, unions and districts and cities to advise local Party committees and authorities to direct and deploy many practical solutions and activities, focusing on clearly changing the quality of cooperatives, building models and typical examples.

Up to now, the collective economy and cooperatives of Ninh Binh province have had 2 Cooperative Unions and over 60 cooperatives with strong products belonging to 6 product groups produced according to the value chain.

Among the product groups, 32 products have registered quality declarations and 25 products have registered intellectual property protection.

Typical examples include a chain of medicinal products; a chain of safe vegetables, tubers and fruits; a chain of herbal goat, chicken and pig products; a chain of loach cartilage; a chain of high-quality rice, pennywort tea, medicinal herbs and ceramics.

However, in reality, regional linkage and support for the consumption of OCOP products and cooperative products still have many shortcomings and limitations such as: the socio-economic development of the regions is not commensurate with their potential and advantages; the scale is still small, the connectivity is still loose; the support policy for implementing the trade promotion support program for the collective economic sector is still limited, not meeting the requirements of cooperatives; the linkage relationship between localities for the consumption of products for the collective economic sector is still small, not forming a strong enough network to positively impact the consumption of products of the collective economic sector, leading to the failure to exploit and promote the full potential and strengths of each locality.

At the seminar, delegates discussed and exchanged in depth, focusing on a number of issues such as: Reorganizing agricultural production and business associated with cooperative development and value chain linkage; the role of regional linkage in production and consumption of agricultural products and policies and orientations of Ninh Binh province in the coming time; the situation and a number of solutions to promote and promote trade to support the consumption of cooperative products; the role of the Cooperative Union in supporting and consuming products...

At the conference, a signing ceremony of a cooperation program between the Ninh Binh Provincial Cooperative Union and the Bac Lieu Provincial Cooperative Union took place and a memorandum of understanding was signed on product consumption linkage between enterprises and a number of chain production cooperatives in the province.
