The whole province has planted nearly 5,000 hectares of Winter-Spring rice.

According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, up to now, farmers in the whole province have completed land preparation for more than 19,700/22,525 hectares of the Summer-Autumn crop planting area. The amount of rice seeds sown reached over 609 tons, of which hybrid rice was 194.5 tons, high quality over 328.3 tons. The whole province has also planted nearly 4,750 hectares of Summer-Autumn rice (reaching over 20% of the total area of ​​the whole crop).

To ensure the production of the Summer-Autumn crop is in line with the schedule and plan, the Department has issued a document requesting the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to direct communes and towns to guide farmers to concentrate human and material resources, take advantage of favorable weather, promote summer-autumn crop production, and minimize the situation of farmers leaving their fields uncultivated.

For the planted rice area, farmers are instructed to focus on care from the beginning so that the rice plants can grow and develop well, tiller early and concentrate, and increase the number of effective tillers. Apply the first top dressing as soon as the rice turns green (7 days after transplanting), combined with mud aeration to help the root system develop, increase the ability to absorb nutrients, and limit physiological diseases.

At the same time, localities (after implementing the 2-level local government) need to strengthen inspection, estimation, forecasting and timely direction of prevention and control of rice pests and diseases right from the beginning of the crop; pay attention to golden snails, small leaf rollers, and physiological diseases. Closely monitor the weather situation, proactively use resources according to the "4 on-site" motto, promptly handle and overcome consequences, and minimize damage in case of natural disasters.
