By 2030, Lam Dong province aims to build at least 150 animal disease-safe facilities for dangerous infectious diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease, classical swine fever, African swine fever, avian influenza, etc.

By 2030, the whole province will achieve a rate of more than 90% of livestock not infected with foot-and-mouth disease.

At the same time, strive to achieve the targets for preventing and controlling terrestrial animal diseases at the commune level, including: over 90% of livestock herds are free of foot-and-mouth disease and lumpy skin disease; over 70% of pigs are free of African swine fever; 80% of dogs are vaccinated against rabies. Particularly for avian influenza, every year, vaccination is organized to reach a minimum rate of 80% of the total herd subject to vaccination.
In addition, for aquatic animal diseases, the whole province maintains at least 50 disease-safe production, breeding, and commercial farming facilities; strengthens water quality management, and promptly directs production and farming according to sustainable criteria.

The total budget for animal disease prevention and control in the province for the period 2026 - 2030 is expected to be more than 10.4 billion VND. Of which, nearly 4.6 billion VND is for animal disease prevention and control; more than 5.8 billion VND is for monitoring and warning about aquaculture environment.
