General Secretary attends concert with 'alien voice' Dimash Qudaibergen in Kazakhstan

The Vietnam - Kazakhstan friendship concert, directed by People's Artist Bui Cong Duy, as part of the state visit to Kazakhstan, took place on the evening of May 6 at Kazakhstan's Astana National Opera House.

The event is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan.

Also attending the program were high-ranking delegations from the two countries, the diplomatic corps in Astana, a large audience of Kazakhstanis and the local Vietnamese community.

Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said the event was a vivid demonstration and an important milestone, contributing to strengthening the friendship and developing strategic partnership between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

According to him, art in general and music in particular have the mission of connecting and creating empathy because music is the echo of the soul and the voice of the heart.

Dimash Qudaibergen is extremely "hot"

Dimash Qudaibergen born 1994, is a Kazakh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

He is known for his wide vocal range of five octaves, including exceptional sharps and flats. His lowest note is the F in the lower 2nd of the left piano; his highest is the D in the bottom 8th of the right piano.

Many experts have exclaimed "unbelievable and surreal" when talking about Dimash. That is why he is called "the prince with surreal voice", "alien voice"...

In 2017, the "golden boy of Kazakhstan" became a phenomenon in China when he participated in the Singer program, especially with his performance of Opera 2 surpassing Vitas' original, making him famous globally.

Dimash has a huge fan base all over the world, from young to old, especially in China, Russia, and Kazakhstan. On the evening of May 6, Dimash Qudaibergen appeared on stage and brought a modern interpretation of Kazakh culture through music.

He sang the hit Stranger, accompanied by the ancient kobyz - a bowed instrument with two strings - played by Olzhas Qurmanbek. And with the piece Adai , Dimash, together with Yernat Nauryz and Temirlan Olzhabai, skillfully demonstrated the limitless expressive power of the dombra - Kazakhstan's most beloved musical instrument.

Bui Cong Duy "goes home"; 200 artists perform Symphony No. 9

Violinist Bui Cong Duy was awarded the title of honorary professor at the Kazakhstan National University of Arts by the Kazakhstan Ministry of Culture and Information two years ago.

This is a music school with a 25-year history in a country that has inherited a rich musical tradition from the Soviet Union. Over the years, he has been invited by the Kazakh National University of Arts to be a member of the jury at international violin competitions, as well as to teach masterclasses and perform solo with the Kazakh National Symphony Orchestra.

This time in Kazakhstan, Bui Cong Duy felt like he was "coming home". In addition to being in charge of artistic direction, the artist also performed the Violin Concerto by composer Felix Mendelssohn.

The highlight of the friendship program is about 200 artists from both countries performing Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 .

The performance featured singers such as Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc (soprano), Meritorious Artist Oksana Davydenko (mezzo-soprano), Ninh Duc Hoang Long (tenor), Meritorious Artist Talgat Musabaev (baritone) and the Astana National Opera and Ballet Theater Choir.

Vietnamese artists also impressed the host country with an excellent performance of the monochord by Meritorious Artist Bui Le Chi with Dialogue by Do Hong Quan and My Homeland Vietnam by musician Do Nhuan combined with the singing of People's Artist Quoc Hung.
