On the morning of December 16, in Hanoi, the Central Organizing Committee held a national conference to review the Party building work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025 online to connecting points across the country. General Secretary To Lam attended and gave a speech at the conference. Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung and Deputy Heads of the Central Organizing Committee chaired the conference. According to the report at the Conference, in 2024, the entire Party building sector completed a large amount of work, notably proactively advising on the comprehensive, synchronous and effective implementation of key tasks and issuing many Resolutions, Directives, Conclusions, regulations and statutes to concretize the 10 tasks on Party building, 3 key tasks and 3 breakthrough solutions set forth by the 13th National Party Congress; synchronously organizing the implementation of all aspects of Party building work from the Central to the grassroots level. Since the beginning of the term, the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat have submitted 79 projects and tasks to the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat for approval, and advised on the issuance of 72 documents, contributing to perfecting the Party's regulations on Party building work. In addition, the entire sector has also actively advised on the preparation work for Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, ensuring synchronization and comprehensiveness in terms of content, personnel and organization and service for the congress. There were many innovations in the selection, arrangement, use, appointment, and introduction of cadres to run for leadership and management positions at all levels; timely dismissal and replacement of disciplined cadres, those with limited capacity, and those with diminished prestige according to the motto "some in, some out"; "some up, some down." The work of cadre management is increasingly systematic, strict, tightening discipline, promoting responsibility, and controlling power. The work of internal political protection is carried out seriously and effectively, contributing to protecting the regime and ensuring political security. Timely advice on perfecting key leadership positions of the Party, State, agencies, and units with strict, democratic, objective, and regulated processes and methods, right people, right jobs, clearly affirming the steadfast political will, steadfastness, solidarity, wisdom, intelligence, and high unity in the Politburo, Secretariat, and Central Executive Committee. The whole sector has advised on the drastic, active, comprehensive, and effective implementation of resolutions on Party building and rectification, and building the political system; In particular, promptly advise on the early summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee, reorganize the apparatus, streamline the payroll associated with restructuring the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with the highest spirit of urgency and determination, creating high consensus and unity among cadres and party members, from the Central to the local level. The leadership capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations have been improved. Focus on building a team of cadres and party members of the Party building organization sector that is steadfast in political ideology, has good moral qualities, a serious and scientific working style, meeting the requirements of the new period. In their speeches at the Conference, many delegates shared practical experiences in Party building work at localities, ministries, and branches.
