Information from the Central Internal Affairs Committee said that on the morning of August 16, the 24th meeting of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity took place. The meeting discussed and gave opinions on the results of the Steering Committee's activities in the first 6 months of 2023 and reviewed the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity since the beginning of the 13th Party Congress term up to now.

Previously, on May 10, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a regular meeting of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
The meeting reviewed the results of directing the handling of a number of cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee from the 23rd meeting of the Steering Committee (January 2023) to May 2023 and many other important contents.
Accordingly, Party committees and inspection committees at all levels have disciplined more than 100 Party organizations and more than 3,600 Party members.
The Central Executive Committee, Politburo, Secretariat, and Central Inspection Commission have disciplined 12 party organizations and 26 officials at the level of department directors and equivalent or higher.
Including 1 former member of the Party Central Committee, 3 chairmen, former chairmen of provincial People's Committees, 2 general officers in the armed forces.
