As Chair of the G20, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa officially invited senior Vietnamese leaders to attend the G20 Summit and invited the senior delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam to attend the G20 Political Parties Conference, the G20 Summit and a series of related conferences to be held in South Africa in 2025.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his gratitude for the special affection that the ANC, the State and people of South Africa, and President Cyril Ramaphosa himself, have always had for the Party, State and people of Vietnam, demonstrating political trust as well as deep sympathy and sharing between the two peoples.

The South African President said that South Africa highly values ​​the experience of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Party building and leading socio-economic development. He also announced that the ANC will soon send a high-level delegation to Vietnam to learn about Vietnam's experience and discuss measures to promote bilateral relations.

The two sides agreed to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation, soon increase bilateral trade turnover to match the potential of both sides; strengthen cooperation in education, defense and security while studying the possibility of expanding cooperation to potential areas such as energy, mining, sustainable use of resources, infrastructure development, climate change, etc.
