Storm No. 10 (Bualoi) that made landfall at the end of September has caused heavy losses in both human lives and property. According to statistics, up to now, there have been 51 deaths, nearly 16,000 billion VND in economic losses, 349 houses collapsed, more than 172,000 houses had their roofs blown off or damaged, hundreds of hectares of crops and traffic infrastructure were destroyed, causing widespread flooding in many provinces in the Central and Northern regions. The consequences of natural disasters not only took lives and property but also had long-term impacts on the lives and production of tens of thousands of households.
In that situation, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Trade Union and the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Shipping Lines ( VIMC ) launched a fundraising movement to support compatriots affected by storm No. 10 in the entire system with the target of mobilizing 1 day's salary for social insurance contributions. The deadline for fundraising is October 15, 2025. On the afternoon of October 3, at the headquarters of the Corporation, the launching program took place with the participation of comrade Nguyen Canh Tinh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIMC, comrade Le Anh Son - General Director of VIMC, comrade Mai Le Loi - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Corporation and leaders, officers, employees of the Office of the Corporation and businesses in the Ocean Park building.

According to the plan, the entire donated funds will be transferred by the Corporation's Trade Union in coordination with relevant agencies and organizations to the Fatherland Front Committee to be delivered directly to the people in the affected areas, ensuring timely and correct recipients. At the same time, VIMC also committed to continue accompanying localities in overcoming consequences, supporting infrastructure restoration, production reconstruction and stabilizing people's lives.
This fundraising activity once again affirms the profound humanitarian spirit and community responsibility of Vietnam National Shipping Lines. In any circumstances, VIMC not only strives to fulfill its production and business tasks, contributing to the development of the maritime industry and the country's economy, but also always accompanies the people of the whole country in times of difficulty and adversity.
