General Department of Logistics and Engineering inspects logistics support work to serve forces performing mission A80

On July 25, in Hanoi, a working delegation of the General Department of Logistics and Technology (GDC) led by Colonel Pham Hong Thai, Deputy Chief of Staff of GDC, conducted a surprise inspection of logistics preparations for forces performing mission A80 at a number of units.

Surprise inspections are essential activities to assess the actual situation most realistically, promptly detect shortcomings or inadequacies in the implementation. From there, TCHC-KT can comprehensively review all aspects of logistics, from food, accommodation, activities to military medical work, equipment and contingency plans.

After inspecting the actual eating, living and working places, Colonel Pham Hong Thai acknowledged and commended the efforts and careful preparation of the units. However, the Deputy Chief of Staff of TCHC-KT also requested the units to quickly overcome some remaining limitations; proactively forecast, grasp the situation, and propose to superiors effective and practical measures.
