Total import-export turnover reached 12.15 billion USD in October 2024

In October 2024, the total import-export turnover of goods cleared through Hai Phong Customs Department reached 12.15 billion USD, an increase of 15.73% compared to September 2024.

On the afternoon of November 6, according to the leader of Hai Phong Customs Department, in October 2024, the total import-export turnover of goods cleared through Hai Phong Customs Department reached 12.15 billion USD, an increase of 15.73% compared to September 2024 and an increase of 10.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

Of which, export turnover reached nearly 6.33 billion USD, up 22.46% compared to September, up 13.8% compared to the same period in 2023; taxed export turnover alone reached 26.16 million USD, up 8.33% compared to the previous month. Import turnover reached 5.82 billion USD, up 9.21% compared to the previous month, up 7.7% compared to the same period, of which taxed import turnover reached 2.29 billion USD, up 16.91% compared to September, up 17% compared to the same period in 2023. Imported goods groups with high turnover compared to the same period are automobiles of all kinds; automobile components and spare parts; motorcycle components and spare parts; gasoline, oil; beer, wine; iron and steel; cosmetics, etc.

Also in October, the total number of import-export declarations of the entire Hai Phong Customs Department reached 256,644 declarations (an increase of 22.36% over the same period in 2023, an increase of 17.59% over September 2024). The branch with the largest number of import-export declarations was the Hai Phong Export Processing Zone and Industrial Zone Customs Branch with 62,379 declarations. Regarding the rate of import-export declaration classification, the green channel reached 66.3%, the yellow channel 30.8%, and the red channel 2.9%.
