The report of the Executive Committee of the 4th term clearly stated that the association has made many efforts in scientific and technological activities, social criticism and integration and met the specific requirements of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.
With a focus on contributing to the development of Vietnam's refrigeration industry, the Vietnam Association of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Science and Technology has joined the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other functional ministries in disseminating policies on energy saving in the field of refrigeration and air-conditioning, protecting the ozone layer, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In particular, the association has worked with many agencies to organize seminars and exhibitions with a focus on introducing new trends and new techniques to create connections between professionals and domestic and foreign businesses. In particular, Cleanct and RHVAC seminar and exhibition events are held regularly every year.

In addition, the association also coordinates with management organizations under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment in contributing opinions and drafting policies related to the field of refrigeration and air conditioning.
The upcoming term of the Vietnam Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Science and Technology takes place in the context of the implementation of Resolutions 57, 59 and 68 of the Politburo. Along with that, the Vietnamese refrigeration and air conditioning industry is growing strongly.
That context requires the Association to strongly and substantially innovate in its activities and criticism. Regarding science and technology, according to Dr. Nguyen Xuan Tien - Vice President of the Association, it is necessary to focus on doing a good job of consulting and criticizing; aiming to build a policy to reduce energy consumption for air conditioners; promulgate energy efficiency standards to improve the minimum energy performance coefficient (MEPS) for air conditioners; propose energy standards for VRV/VRF models, and have a suitable energy labeling roadmap.
Complete policies on ozone layer protection and greenhouse gas emission reduction according to the prescribed roadmap; at the same time, focus on disseminating policies related to users of refrigeration equipment and air conditioners.

Some opinions at the congress said that the association should continue to attach importance to working with relevant agencies to promote human resource training for the Vietnamese refrigeration industry as well as connecting Vietnamese and international refrigeration enterprises.
At the congress, Dr. Phan Xuan Dung - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations said that in the coming term, in the context of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57, the association needs to implement all breakthrough solutions stated in Resolution 57 in all activities.
In order to share the loss of the people in the Central region affected by the floods, at the congress, delegates organized a fundraising event to support people in the flood-affected areas to soon stabilize their lives.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Association for the 5th term (2025 - 2030). Dr. Ta Quang Ngoc - Chairman of the Association for the 4th term was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Science and Technology.
Members hope the association will become a "hub" - a center for science and technology, advising the State on tax incentives so that businesses can boldly apply new technology.
