(BTV) According to data calculated and compiled by the General Statistics Office, the total product in the province (GRDP) in 2024 at 2010 comparative prices is estimated at 136.9 trillion VND, an increase of 6.03% over the same period last year (in 2023, it decreased by 9.28%).
Bac Ninh 's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the fourth quarter continued to improve with an increase of 7.62%
Developments over the quarters are as follows: Preliminary in the first quarter, down 3.48%; In the second quarter, the trend reversed and increased by 12.04%; In the third quarter, the increase gradually decreased and increased by only 6.96%; In the fourth quarter, it continued to improve with an increase of 7.62%, in which all three economic sectors increased, the highest was the service sector, up 7.04%; Next was the industrial and construction sector, up 6.0%; The lowest increase was the agricultural, forestry and fishery sector, up 1.15%. With a positive economic growth rate of 6.03% in 2024, the average increase in the period 2021-2024 was 2.3%/year, in which: The agricultural sector increased by 1.5%; The industrial and construction sector increased by 0.9%, and industry alone increased by 1.4%; The service sector increased by 7.28%; Product tax increased by 4.83%. Thus, the economic growth results after 4 years 2021-2024 are currently much lower than the target set by the 20th Provincial Party Congress (target: Average growth of 7-8% per year).
The scale of GRDP (at current prices) in 2024 is estimated at 232.8 trillion VND (equivalent to nearly 9.3 billion USD); GRDP per capita is estimated at 150.5 million VND/person (equivalent to 6,010 USD/person). Labor productivity at current prices is estimated at 293.9 million VND/worker (equivalent to 11,738 USD/worker). Regarding the economic structure by economic sectors in 2024, there will continue to be a gradual shift towards the service sector, specifically: The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector is 3.02% (up 0.14%); The industry and construction sector is 70.3% (down 1.62%); The service sector is 22.34% (up 1.63%) and product taxes are 4.34% (down 0.14%).
