AFP reported that on September 7 local time, US President Joe Biden boarded a plane at Andrews Air Force Base to depart for a visit to Asia. About half an hour before the flight, the White House announced that President Biden had tested negative for Covid-19. The US President's plane is expected to land at Ramstain Base to refuel before arriving in New Delhi, India on the evening of September 8. That same evening, President Biden will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The delegation accompanying President Biden includes National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. After the agenda at the G20 summit, President Biden continued to board a plane to Vietnam. The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on September 5 that US President Joe Biden will pay a state visit to Vietnam on September 10-11, at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Previously, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said: "We believe that the visits of the two countries' senior leaders will further deepen the Vietnam-US relationship, bringing the two countries' relationship to develop stably, substantially and long-term in all fields, contributing to maintaining peace , stability, cooperation and development in the region as well as in the world."
