Recently, the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam held a launching ceremony for an interesting and unique night experience program with the theme "The Quintessence of Philosophy".
Many tourists participated in the night experience program with "The Quintessence of Confucianism" at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.
A creative space strange yet familiar
Present at the launching ceremony of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam night experience program (the night tour is deployed every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evening), Ms. Nguyen Nhat Ha (Trieu Khuc street, Thanh Xuan district) excitedly went to all the locations in the program with her two children. According to Ms. Ha, her children are of school age (one in grade 5, one in grade 2) so they really want to explore culture and history, and the fact that the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam has put into operation a night tour with the application of modern technology has helped this relic become more attractive in the eyes of the children.
“I was most impressed with the Bai Duong area. Here, the entire history of the formation and development of the cradle of talent training for the country in history is shown in a contemporary design style but still retains a strong traditional mark. In addition, visitors can also experience new technological products, such as writing calligraphy using virtual reality technology,” Ms. Ha shared.
Sharing the same excitement, Mr. Nguyen Van Nhat (Ton Duc Thang Street, Dong Da District) brought his daughter, who is in 2nd grade, to participate in the experience program. Mr. Nhat said that although he had visited the Temple of Literature many times, this visit still brought him and his daughter very special experiences.
“It can be said that compared to the daytime experience, the night tour experience is much more attractive. In the digital age, the thorough application of technology has made the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam more sparkling, magical, and attractive. The night tour of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam is launched to visitors, introducing a colorful space of "old and new" that is novel and attractive, becoming an attractive tourist destination that is hard to ignore for visitors when coming to the capital" - Mr. Nhat affirmed.
Mr. Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, affirmed that the program of experiencing the night of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam was officially launched to tourists and people of the capital with the desire to bring visitors a new look, a completely new experience of the relic site, creating different emotions compared to the sightseeing and exploration content during the day. All architectural relics and heritage spaces become more impressive and sparkling than usual, but still retain the profound and delicate features of a heritage site that is considered the first national school in Vietnam. All items promise to open up a space of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam that is both familiar and strange.
Visitors participate in calligraphy and parallel sentence writing experiences.
“The Organizing Committee always strives to explore and research to enhance the existing values of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam. The launch of the night tour “The Quintessence of Dao Hoc” is a new step forward, aiming to honor the spirit of learning and the tradition of respecting teachers. Experiencing the night at the Temple of Literature is a “dialogue” between tradition and modernity, between culture and technology. We always listen to the opinions of visitors and locals to continuously improve the product, bring better experiences in the future, contributing to enriching Hanoi tourism activities” - Mr. Le Xuan Kieu emphasized.

“The main highlight of the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy night experience program is the 3D mapping projection activity on the theme “The Quintessence of Taoism”. The entire facade of the Front Hall in the Thai Hoc area is transformed into a giant screen, helping visitors discover the most quintessential values in Vietnamese Taoism, such as the examination hall, the scholars of the past and their will, dreams of passing exams, studying... By telling the story of the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy heritage, the story of Vietnamese Taoism with modern technology, the “The Quintessence of Taoism” night tour has made a strong impression on visitors and promises to attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists” - Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thi Bich Hong shared.
