The Pho Museum is a privately-run culinary museum that contributes to preserving, promoting, and spreading the cultural values of Vietnamese cuisine to domestic and international tourists.
Mr. Tran Van Bac, the founder of the Pho Museum, said that the museum recounts the more than 100-year journey of Vietnamese pho, from street vendors to global dining tables. From there, it contributes to connecting and promoting Vietnam's culinary cultural heritage in conjunction with cultural tourism .
According to the organizers, the Pho Museum covers approximately 800m², comprising 3 experiential floors, operating on a closed-loop tour model lasting about 60-75 minutes.
At the museum, visitors are provided with information about the historical context, cultural space, and culinary experiences, helping them to better understand pho and appreciate pho culture even more.
Ms. Nguyen Que Anh, co-founder of the Pho Museum, shared that every Vietnamese person is like a living museum of pho. The Pho Museum was born from a small idea but carries a great mission: to spread pho far and wide and preserve the essence of Vietnamese cuisine.

The highlight of the Pho Museum is the space showcasing hundreds of valuable artifacts, documents, and images about pho culture in the three regions of Vietnam, especially the mini-game of experiencing pho cooking, helping visitors understand and remember the ingredients and process of making a bowl of pho.
“The Pho Museum is not a place to sell pho, but a place where visitors can experience pho, a culinary cultural heritage, and above all, experience the emotions and love for Vietnamese pho. The museum will have pho-making workshops for pho lovers (advance registration required) and many special offers for people in Ho Chi Minh City,” Ms. Que Anh told Tuoi Tre Online .

According to Hoang Anh Tuan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City History Museum: “When pho is brought into the museum space, it is not only displayed as a dish, but also recognized as an intangible cultural heritage, with layers of meaning related to cooking techniques, eating habits, occupations, and community memories.”
The Pho Museum enriches and diversifies the ecosystem of heritage activities in society, creating a space for dialogue between tradition and the contemporary. We expect that in the future, the Pho Museum will become an important destination in Ho Chi Minh City's heritage journey - a place preserving the memories of urban cuisine."
