The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just announced the Conclusion of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong at the meeting on the progress of the implementation of the Ring Road 3 Project, Ho Chi Minh City, section passing through the City.
The directive was issued after Mr. Cuong chaired a meeting on the progress of the implementation of the Ring Road 3 project through Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of representatives of relevant departments and contractors on July 3, 2025.

After listening to the report of the Traffic Committee and the opinions of the units attending the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong requested the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Committee) and contractors to urgently complete the items to open the technical traffic on schedule as committed.
Any problems beyond authority must be reported promptly for handling, ensuring quality and progress of the project.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport was assigned to urgently establish a detailed schedule for each construction package, evaluate feasibility and obtain commitments from construction contractors.
At the same time, focus on directing contractors to complete the Kenh Thay Thuoc bridge for technical traffic opening in December 2025 in sync with Tay Ninh Component Project 7.
This Board is also assigned to closely coordinate with the My Thuan Project Management Board ( Ministry of Construction ) to synchronously carry out the opening of some items of the XL1 package connecting Nhon Trach bridge to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also requested the Department of Construction to develop a scenario for the opening of the eastern viaduct section (including the access and exit ramps and Tan Van intersection), and at the same time study the addition of bridge branches and parallel bridges to Binh Goi bridge into component project 1.
In particular, the City leaders directed the establishment of a Working Group to monitor the sources of construction materials such as sand and stone to avoid supply chain disruptions that would affect progress.
Ho Chi Minh City leaders also emphasized the need to focus on units to settle payments to contractors to ensure disbursement progress, and requested all units not to let congestion occur due to lack of materials, especially sand and stone.
According to the plan, by the end of December 2025, 41.4 km out of a total of 76 km of the Ring Road 3 Project will be technically opened to traffic.
