According to Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, the spirit of "people are the root" and President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on the role of mass mobilization work have become the guiding principle for the activities of cadres and party members. In recent years, the city's political system has strongly innovated the content and methods of mass mobilization, linked with tasks at the grassroots level, forming many practical and creative models and examples, helping to promptly resolve issues of concern to the people.
The “Smart Mass Mobilization” movement in Ho Chi Minh City has been implemented in many areas, focusing on models associated with urban beautification, administrative reform, green space development, social security support, environmental protection and promotion of sustainable tourism . The active participation of the people and religious organizations has helped mobilize large social resources, creating a widespread influence, enhancing sustainability in urban development.
Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Van Thi Bach Tuyet said that the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" movement has become a bright spot in the country with more than 7,600 models being implemented. The "Skilled Mass Mobilization" model is realized through ways that are close to the people, taking place every day in urban life: "Morning Coffee" sessions for the government to listen to people's thoughts; the "10 certified copies - 15 minutes to return" model at the Public Administration Service Center; the "Women 15 minutes a day for the community" movement; or the "Charity Bus" that takes hundreds of poor patients to free emergency care... Those simple stories vividly reflect the effectiveness of the movement in practice.
To promote the effectiveness of the movement in the new period, the Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested that Party committees, authorities and the Fatherland Front and mass organizations continue to strongly innovate mass mobilization methods in a practical, modern, grassroots-oriented and people-centered direction. In particular, each cadre must become a good mass mobilization worker, close to the people, understand the people, have the skills to apply digital technology, know how to reconcile, support and accompany the people.
The City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department is assigned to continue improving the quality of consultation, summarizing effective models from more than 7,600 existing models, selecting truly outstanding models to replicate throughout the city; at the same time, promoting propaganda, bringing the Party's major policies into life in flexible forms, suitable to the special urban characteristics.
Ho Chi Minh City is entering a new stage of development, requiring the consensus of the whole society. Continuing to promote the movement "Smart Mass Mobilization" is considered an important solution to unite the people, consolidate a sustainable social foundation and create momentum for the city's development in the coming time.
