Ho Chi Minh City deploys management portal on extra teaching and learning

According to the representative of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and 21 districts are responsible for coordinating with the Department of Education and Training to implement Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning in the management area; at the same time, ensuring resources, supporting schools to implement the regulations; ensuring inspection activities, and periodic reporting on implementation progress.

For educational institutions, it is necessary to strictly follow the direction of the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Thu Duc City, districts and towns; disseminate the content of Circular 29 to officials, teachers, students and parents; ensure proper implementation of regulations, transparency and effectiveness.

The Department noted that the facilities organizing extra teaching must ensure the duration and time of extra teaching and learning in accordance with the provisions in Clause 4, Article 3 of Circular No. 29/2024/TT-BGDDT; be suitable and ensure the health of students; have a plan to organize extra teaching and extra subjects in accordance with the provisions of Circular 29.

Interface of the management system for extra teaching and learning in Ho Chi Minh City

In addition, teachers participating in extra teaching must meet the standards prescribed by the Law on Education and Circular 29; teachers are encouraged to participate in training programs to improve their expertise, master modern teaching methods, apply information technology, and support students in developing soft skills.

In order to ensure quality of extra teaching and learning activities and comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the extra teaching and learning management portal is a tool to help the Department of Education and Training monitor and manage extra teaching and learning activities; support the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and 21 districts to manage detailed information and monitor the activities of extra teaching centers in the area; and help schools monitor and manage information of teachers registered to teach extra lessons.

One of the outstanding features of the tutoring and learning management system is to help management agencies review information for each case of teachers and tutoring centers violating regulations on tutoring and learning; manage the number and basic information of tutoring centers, the list of teachers and students participating in tutoring and learning in the area.
