As reported by CAND Newspaper , on July 1, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency investigated the case of "manufacturing and trading in counterfeit medicines and disease prevention drugs" carried out by Vo Thanh Tam (director of Thanh Thuy Cosmetics Company Limited) and Ngo Anh Hong (Tam's wife, director of My Trinh Cosmetics Company Limited) and accomplices.
After a period of monitoring, the Economic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police inspected the two companies (located at the same address in Xuan Thoi Thuong Commune, Hoc Mon District) of this couple and discovered that 15 employees were producing and storing various types of essential oils and massage creams of foreign origin, including: Con O essential oil, Thai moisturizer, Thai Old Man oil and Korean roll-on oil. These products are not the products that the two companies registered to produce and trade.
The investigation agency determined that the couple had organized the production of 7 types of Eagle Brand Medicated Oil from Singapore. The total number of counterfeit products sold was 70,000 bottles, equivalent to more than 6 billion VND.
