Tay Ninh City: Launching a tree planting movement to celebrate the 135th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday

With the motto "Every person plants trees, every household plants trees, each tree planted is good", at the launching ceremony, the leaders of the City Department of Natural Resources and Environment called on all people and all levels, sectors and localities to continue to raise awareness, take measures to protect forests, not to exploit forests illegally; actively participate in tree planting and forest planting activities to gradually green, create an increasingly green, clean and beautiful urban and rural landscape and environment and contribute to joining hands with the whole country to complete the goal of "Planting one billion trees in the period of 2021-2025" according to the project approved by the Prime Minister .

The tree planting movement "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" is a meaningful activity organized and launched by the City every year to propagate, mobilize, and raise awareness of each citizen about the purpose and meaning of the tree planting movement in memory of Uncle Ho as well as the role, effects, and value of tree planting and afforestation associated with socio -economic development, environmental protection, and limiting natural disasters and damage caused by climate change.

Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hung - Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee participated in planting trees after the launching ceremony.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, leaders of city agencies, units, local authorities, youth union members, armed forces and people of Binh Minh commune participated in planting 100 trees behind the Traditional House of the Historical - Cultural Relic Site of the Town Commando Base.
