The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a report to the Ministry of Public Security on the results of drug prevention and treatment work in the city from 2021 to present.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade share data on licensing the export and import of industrial precursors of organizations and individuals headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City so that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade can coordinate in controlling legal activities related to drugs.
At the same time, it is proposed that the Ministry of Public Security coordinate with ministries and branches to provide specific guidance on the measure of "controlled transfer of goods"; continue to coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to propose timely addition of new narcotics to the list of narcotics.
In addition, it is recommended that the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs study and propose assigning tasks to public drug rehabilitation facilities to provide voluntary rehabilitation services at home and in the community. Thereby, limiting costs in terms of facilities, equipment, and personnel, especially ensuring expertise in rehabilitation and management to ensure security and order.
