Limit the occurrence
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just requested the People's Committees of districts, towns, and Thu Duc City to collect information and data to carry out the work of supplementing the list of project locations expected to develop commercial and social housing and urban areas in the area.
According to the Department of Construction, previously, regarding the implementation of the adjustment of the Ho Chi Minh City Housing Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2025, the Department of Construction received reports and official dispatches from the People's Committees of districts, towns, and Thu Duc City proposing and supplementing the project locations expected to develop commercial and social housing in the area.
In particular, there has been a preliminary assessment of the suitability of the location and area planned for housing development with the general planning, urban planning; the ability to connect technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, etc.
Up to now, Ho Chi Minh City continues to implement the Housing Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and follows the direction of Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong on updating and supplementing the list of project locations expected to develop commercial housing and social housing in the area.

Therefore, the Department of Construction requests units to review and evaluate 120 locations that investors are proposing in writing, and to add locations expected to develop commercial housing projects; 370 locations and land plots expected to implement pilot projects to develop commercial housing, according to the attached list of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; 75 locations and land plots expected to implement pilot projects to develop commercial housing according to the list of the Department of Agriculture and Environment with the general planning, urban planning; the ability to connect technical infrastructure, social infrastructure; with the orientation and group of solutions for housing development in the approved Housing Development Program and Plan.
In addition to the above cases, the Department of Construction also requested the People's Committees of 21 districts and Thu Duc City to continue reviewing the area; in case there are proposals to add locations and areas for developing new commercial housing projects.
Specifically, projects that have not yet had a decision approving the investment policy, are expected to propose an investment policy, select an investor, and projects that have had a decision approving the investment policy and are implementing other subsequent legal procedures, or are under construction in the area in the period of 2021 - 2025 or the period of 2026 - 2030, will also have a similar synthesis and assessment.
The Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City believes that this is an important content. Units need to focus on reviewing and evaluating the list of specific and clear projects to ensure the implementation of housing development in the area, minimizing future adjustments and issues.
More land for social housing
Regarding social housing, up to now, the Department of Construction has compiled and recorded 53 locations and land plots expected to develop social housing in the list of project locations expected to develop social housing in the area in the Ho Chi Minh City Housing Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2025. Of which, 47/53 locations have been compiled and recorded by the Department of Construction so far; 6/83 locations have been proposed and supplemented by the People's Committees of districts and towns so far.

To ensure the basis for submitting to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval and supplementing the proposed locations for social housing development, the Department of Construction proposed to review and evaluate 47 locations and land plots compiled by the Department of Construction, recording the proposed development of social housing projects with the general planning, urban planning; the ability to connect technical infrastructure, social infrastructure with the orientation and groups of housing development solutions in the approved housing development program and plan.
In addition to the 47 locations and land plots mentioned above, the Department of Construction requested the People's Committees of 21 districts and Thu Duc City to continue reviewing the area, if there are any proposals to add locations and areas expected to implement new social housing development projects in the period 2021 - 2025 or the period 2026 - 2030.
