This is a key task in the comprehensive cooperation and support plan between People's Hospital 115 and Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, helping Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital gradually become a specialized medical center in the city.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, currently, people in Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, District 12 and neighboring provinces such as Long An, Tay Ninh and even from neighboring Cambodia often have to travel long distances to reach stroke centers in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City. Traveling long distances can cause many patients to miss valuable time and lose the opportunity to recover their health, leaving many sequelae. The establishment of a specialized stroke treatment center at Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital will help provide emergency and stroke treatment right in the locality, without the need for long-distance transfers, shortening treatment time.
In addition, the Stroke Treatment Center at Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital will be supported by People's Hospital 115 to use artificial intelligence (AI) applications in stroke treatment. The Qure AI application helps support quick and accurate diagnosis. Specifically, this application will quickly analyze CT images of the brain, support the identification of stroke types, share data in real time between doctors at Hoc Mon and People's Hospital 115, provide early warnings and support doctors in making optimal treatment decisions.
