Ho Chi Minh City supports flights to protect the Fatherland's sky

On November 20, at Regiment 935 (Division 370, Air Defense - Air Force), comrade Tran Van Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, led a delegation of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to exchange the program "Skillful mass mobilization - Connecting borders".

At Bien Hoa airport, the delegation visited the Su-30MK2 aircraft in the technical area; interacted with pilots and technicians about training contents and mastering weapons and equipment. The delegates also listened to Lieutenant Colonel Vuong Duc Tuan Anh, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 935, introduce the general process of building, fighting and growing up of Regiment 935.

In May 1975, the Ministry of National Defense issued a decision to establish the 935th Air Force Regiment, stationed at Bien Hoa airport. After 50 years of construction, fighting and development, the 935th Regiment has always excellently completed the tasks of combat readiness, airspace management, flight operations management... The Regiment has maintained its achievements for over 29 years of ensuring absolute flight safety.

At the meeting, Colonel Vu Toan Thang, Commander of Regiment 935, also informed about the tradition, functions, tasks and some typical results of the unit in performing the task of protecting the Fatherland's airspace. At the same time, he reported on some contents of the unit's national defense - security and mass mobilization work in the past time.

Speaking at the program, comrade Huynh Tan Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, expressed his emotion when visiting Regiment 935 - the heroic unit, the "steel shield" protecting the southern sky of the Fatherland. He sent his regards and deep gratitude to the officers and soldiers of the Regiment who are on duty day and night, ready to fight, contributing to keeping the peaceful sky of the Fatherland.

Comrade Huynh Tan Dinh said that choosing Regiment 935 as the coordinating point to organize the program has special significance, expressing the sentiment of the rear to the front line, contributing to consolidating the "solid position of people's hearts".

At the program, the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and accompanying units presented Regiment 935 with works and gifts worth more than 300 million VND, including the clean water project "Supporting the wings of flight" with a RO water filtration system with a capacity of 1,000 liters/hour.

The delegation also presented gifts to care for and encourage female officers and soldiers of Regiment 935; supported officers and soldiers suffering from serious illnesses; and presented gifts to officers and soldiers performing tasks to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day...
