Worthwhile Features Coming to iOS 17
"Personal Voice" not only supports people who have difficulty speaking or have lost the ability to speak, but can also be a very useful tool in communication activities.
Specifically, if in the past, during the video editing process, content creators or editors would have to re-read the text themselves, hire professional voice-overs, or use tools to convert text into digital voice. Now with "Personal Voice", it's all available on an iPhone.
But “Personal Voice” is only available on iOS 17, and the operating system update itself, which is due to be released in September 2023, only supports iPhone 11 and later. So those with older iPhones won’t have access to this feature.
Can still experience with Samsung smartphone?
However, if you have a Samsung Galaxy, that Android smartphone can also help you experience this valuable feature without having to switch to iPhone 11 or later or wait for iOS 17.
According to ZDNET, Samsung's virtual assistant Bixby can now help you backup your voice to create a complete corresponding reading voice.
All you need to do is record a set of short sentences and the AI will do the rest, the process is similar to that on “Personal Voice”.
Once set up, you can answer phone calls by typing in text, and Bixby will read it aloud to the caller.
The only limitation of Bixby is that it only supports a few languages and currently does not include Vietnamese. These include English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Mandarin (Chinese), Spanish and Portuguese.
