Time: August 15th of the lunar calendar every year

Mid-Autumn Festival in Taiwan is also known as Reunion Festival. This is one of the meaningful festivals and is held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every year. On this day, everyone will gather together, eat and drink happily like the traditional Tet in Vietnam.

Every full moon night of the eighth lunar month, the streets are filled with colorful lanterns, children happily stroll through the alleys, play and receive Mid-Autumn gifts. The Dadaocheng Festival is also one of the oldest traditional festivals in Taiwan. The festival is held annually at the end of November in the famous Dadaocheng Old Town. The most impressive content of this festival is the giant fire dragon parade on the streets of this Dadaocheng Old Town.

The Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival is a traditional Taiwanese festival held during the Lantern Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is held in Pingxi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. This is the only place where the government allows the release of sky lanterns because of its favorable terrain and humid weather.

The Sun Moon Lake Swimming Festival is held at Taiwan's largest freshwater lake. On weekdays, Sun Moon Lake prohibits swimming, but on festival days, it opens to athletes from all over the world.
