Transformer station in Tien Giang caught fire fiercely, fire column hundreds of meters high

On September 1, the leader of the People's Committee of Cai Lay town ( Tien Giang province) said that he had just received information from the electricity department regarding the fire at a transformer station in the area, causing power outages in many areas.

Previously, at around 9:00 p.m. on August 31, the transformer station of Power Transmission Company 4 (located next to National Highway 1, Ward 5, Cai Lay town) exploded and then caught fire fiercely.

According to local residents, during heavy rain, they suddenly heard many loud explosions, then a fierce fire broke out from the transformer station.

Some people filmed the scene of the transformer station on fire. The images showed flames billowing from inside the transformer, shooting hundreds of meters into the air.

Authorities arrived at the scene to put out the fire. The incident caused power outages in many places in Cai Lay town and Cai Lay district.
