Equipping Women Leaders with Disabilities

In 2025, the Vietnam Women with Disabilities Leadership Program will seek and train 20 potential women leaders to create a generation of dynamic, innovative and creative women with disabilities leaders following the development trends of society.

The Vietnam Women with Disability Leadership Program (V-WILD) was initiated by a group of Australian alumni in 2021 with funding from the Australian Alumni Foundation to equip the next generation of women with disabilities leaders from 10 northern provinces with knowledge and skills. After the training, 20 women with disabilities have made many positive contributions to the community and have held many high-level leadership positions in disability organizations, businesses and organizations.

Following the success of the V-WILD project, in 2023, the Australian alumni group continued to receive funding from the Women's Asia fund and will seek and train 20 new women with disabilities, who are influential female leaders of the disability movement, to create a generation of dynamic, innovative and creative women with disabilities leaders following the development trends of society.

Vietnam Women with Disabilities Leadership Training Program 2023

The course content includes: Adaptive leadership skills; Gender equality in leadership and decision making; Disability movement and policy advocacy; Physical activities, team building.

The training method applied is experiential learning, with students at the center.

3-day leadership training course in Hanoi /neighboring provinces (from June 26-28, 2025), completely free of charge, for women with disabilities living in the North. Registration deadline: until May 31, 2025, here.
