Promote growth and economic restructuring

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the province has issued many policies to orient the development of the agricultural sector and mobilize investment capital from the central and provincial budgets for agricultural development. In general, the province's agriculture continues to develop in the direction of commodity production, productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of products are constantly increasing; value chains of some key agricultural products of the province have been built; a number of concentrated production areas have been formed, increasingly meeting the raw material sources for the processing industry. In addition, rural infrastructure has received investment attention, the appearance of the countryside has improved a lot, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of rural people.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the state budget for the agricultural sector is over 4,000 billion VND: investing in the project to invest in the construction of the project to renovate and upgrade the wastewater treatment system of Thanh Phu fishing port; expanding the water supply pipeline from Hoa Loi Water Plant, Hoa Loi commune, Thanh Phu district; building a water distribution pipeline network in Cu Lao Long Thanh area, Son Phu commune and Hung Phong commune, Giong Trom district; expanding the water supply network of Thanh Phu Water Plant in Thanh Phong commune...

Regarding the restructuring of the agricultural sector associated with the agricultural product value chain and the construction of new rural areas, as of April 2025, the whole province has 94 cooperatives, 85 cooperatives, and 4 linked groups participating in the value chain of key agricultural products and achieved some positive results. Agricultural production has gradually transformed towards clean, safe, and organic production; focusing on building geographical indications and product brands to meet the need for traceability... aiming to develop brands for the province's agricultural products.

Future direction

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Canh, in the coming time, the province will continue to lead, direct and synchronously implement solutions to mobilize investment resources for socio-economic development; review and perfect mechanisms and policies, focusing on preferential policies, attracting human resources, material resources and financial resources to effectively exploit the potentials and advantages of the province.

Improve the quality of state management of capital construction investment; focus on removing difficulties and solving problems to speed up the implementation and disbursement of projects using state budget capital; prioritize investment capital for infrastructure projects with an eastern development orientation to create new space and momentum for socio-economic development.

Reorganize production, restructure the agricultural sector, focus on accelerating the construction and completion of the agricultural value chain, focus on creating more deeply processed products in the value chain, improve the efficiency of benefits between actors in the chain; basically create a difference in production linkage and the lives of people participating in the value chain.

Strengthening the application of advanced science, technology and engineering in agricultural production, building and replicating safe production models certified by GAP, organic agriculture, clean agriculture and with geographical indications and traceability; developing forms of cooperation, linking production and product consumption, connecting with domestic and foreign consumption systems...
