After the first successful exhibition of iron pen paintings in March and October, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association organized the second exhibition, with the theme "Exhibition of iron pen and colored iron pen", at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Gallery, with 175 paintings and sketches by 69 authors on display. This is the clearest evidence of the quality and love of artists for the iron pen material.

At the exhibition, Doctor - People's Teacher - Sculptor Nguyen Xuan Tien, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, commented: "Many successful artists in iron pen painting show that they do not stop at completing a beautiful work but also have the ability to go further, develop techniques and creativity. After each success, they always have the desire to explore new aspects of iron pen painting, experiment with new styles and methods to improve their skills, bringing more impressive works."
The exhibition of iron pen paintings organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association is an opportunity to widely introduce these works of art. The exhibition not only helps the public better understand the iron pen painting technique but also creates a strong impression of the artists' ingenuity and sophistication in using the method to vividly recreate images of life around them.

"Exhibition of iron pen and colored iron pen" at Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Gallery attracted many visitors.
The works represent a wide range of themes, from portraits, landscapes, to everyday life, providing viewers with interesting and inspiring experiences. Iron pen paintings stand out with their thin, clear lines, often drawn very meticulously. The images in the paintings can be small details such as wrinkles on the face, strands of hair, or flower petals.
Iron pen paintings often use light and shadow effects to create depth and liveliness for the painting. Viewers will clearly see the contrast between light and dark areas, making the image more prominent and realistic.

Painter Ly Cao Tan said: “The iron pen material is very compact, simply two shades of black and white with distinct visual language characteristics, but the artistic effect is very diverse, expressing many themes, the ability to describe details is very high, the lines evoke many different feelings in a very interesting work of art”.
According to experts, the key to an artist’s success is their iron-pen technique, especially their ability to create sharp lines and precise details. To be successful, they need constant practice and excellent control of their drawing tools. Some artists may feel proud of achieving a level of sophistication in expressing light, shade and texture through iron-pen lines, especially when their work can reproduce the smallest details almost vividly.
In addition to technique, another important factor is the ability to convey emotions through pen and ink paintings. Although using little color, pen and ink paintings can create a strong sense of emotion, space and time. Successful artists often say that their pen and ink paintings are not only imitative but also have vitality, creating a connection between the viewer and the work.
