Poet Phan Hoang, member of the Vietnam Writers Association and judge of the contest, awarded the first prize to poet Hue Thi.
After the launching period from March 28 to April 30, 2025, the Organizing Committee received 104 works from 34 authors. The works are rich in poetry genres, with content focusing on reflecting the achievements of the country and Can Tho City after 50 years of national reunification, the morality of drinking water and remembering its source, cherishing the value of peace and the desire to contribute to the country's rise to the new era.
The organizing committee organized two rounds of judging, preliminary and final, with the judges being poets and prestigious literary critics. Notably, two young authors born in 2004 and 2005 had works that won prizes in this contest and poet Nguyen Trung Nguyen, Chairman of the Can Tho City Writers Association, respectfully invited the two authors to join the association.
From 18 works in the final round, the Organizing Committee selected 11 good poems to award prizes, including 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 5 Encouragement Prizes. Of which, author Hue Thi won First Prize with the work "Thank you for the Peaceful Country"; 2 Second Prizes went to the works "Words of the Can Tho River" by author Lu Giang (Lu Gia Kiet) and "By the Hau River" by author Dang Hoang Tham.
