Awarding more than 2,400 scholarships to poor students overcoming difficulties

On August 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - the Committee for Mobilization, Management and Use of the City's "For the Poor" Fund organized a ceremony to award Nguyen Huu Tho scholarships and support study expenses for ethnic minority students and students with difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Pham Minh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City awarded scholarships to students who overcame difficulties.

Accordingly, the organizing committee awarded 2,320 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances, with a total value of more than 5 billion VND.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 100 scholarships to ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances, each worth 2 million VND.

It is expected that in the 2024-2025 school year, the city's "For the Poor" Fund at all levels will award nearly 17,000 scholarships, with a total implementation cost of more than 31 billion VND.
