At the ceremony, Major General Quach Van Nho, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9, stated that this event holds profound political , cultural, and spiritual significance, expressing the boundless respect and deep gratitude of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 9 and the people of the Mekong Delta localities towards the great leader of the nation, the national liberation hero, the outstanding cultural figure, and the beloved father of the people's armed forces.
According to Major General Quach Van Nho, the Ministry of National Defense's gifting of portrait statues of President Ho Chi Minh to the People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones in Can Tho city is a concrete action to contribute to the widespread dissemination of the core values of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style to every cadre, Party member, and citizen; to strengthen the great military-civilian solidarity; and to encourage localities to continue promoting patriotic emulation movements within the armed forces and among all strata of the people. These portrait statues of beloved Uncle Ho, gifted by the 9th Military Region Command to the localities, when placed in agencies and offices, will become centers of traditional education and a great source of motivation to encourage and inspire the spirit of cadres, soldiers, and the people.
The Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 requested that the leaders of the People's Committees of communes and wards always cherish, preserve, and place the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the most solemn and respectful location; and regularly organize political, cultural, and educational activities related to the image and teachings of Uncle Ho. Through this, each cadre, Party member, and citizen, when contemplating the statue of Uncle Ho, will reflect on themselves, correct their shortcomings, and learn from and follow Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, ethics, and style. To translate this love and respect for Uncle Ho into concrete and practical actions, the Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 emphasized the need to focus on building a clean and strong grassroots political system, while simultaneously improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.

Mr. Pham Van Dong, Chairman of the Ninh Kieu Ward People's Committee, representing 103 communes and wards in the city, said that this is a sacred gift, demonstrating the profound concern of the Vietnam People's Army for the Party committees, authorities, and people at the grassroots level. The portrait statue of President Ho Chi Minh is not only a work of art with aesthetic value, but first and foremost, a sacred symbol of the Fatherland, the embodiment and crystallization of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style. The image of Uncle Ho has long become an indispensable symbol in Party and State agencies, the Fatherland Front, the Army, and all levels of government; always reminding every cadre and Party member to uphold revolutionary qualities, diligently serve the people, and be a pioneer and exemplary in fulfilling all assigned tasks.
The presentation of statues of President Ho Chi Minh to communes and wards – the administrative levels closest to the people – carries special significance. These are the places where the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws are directly implemented, and where the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh need to be most widely disseminated. Each statue will become a spiritual anchor for localities to build exemplary cadres, improve the quality of service to the people, and strengthen the close-knit relationship between the military and the people; thereby contributing to the effective implementation of political, national defense, security, and socio-economic development tasks at the grassroots level.
On behalf of the communes and wards receiving the statues, the Chairman of the Ninh Kieu Ward People's Committee, Pham Van Dong, pledged to respectfully preserve and maintain the statues of President Ho Chi Minh with the highest level of reverence; to place the statues in a dignified and appropriate location to serve political activities, traditional education, and propaganda work in the community. The ward will continue to effectively implement the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in accordance with Directive No. 05-CT/TW; strengthen the training of public service ethics, promote the spirit of setting an example, consolidate the great national unity, and contribute to building a more civilized, modern, compassionate, and sustainably developed locality...
