On November 20-21, the Hoan My 2025 Science and Technology Conference with the theme "Artificial Intelligence and Clinical Applications" opened in Ho Chi Minh City, marking the 10-year journey of organization. The event gathered more than 300 domestic and foreign medical experts, shared nearly 100 scientific reports, updated diverse perspectives, medical advances and innovative initiatives of the medical field in the context of digital transformation.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, shared: “Currently, the health sector is facing many challenges: the need to improve the quality of treatment, pressure on hospital overload, promoting health autonomy, digital transformation and technology application in operations and clinical practice. Therefore, the Department of Health always promotes the role of scientific research, technology application and digital human resource training. We encourage units, including Hoan My Medical Group, to continue to expand cooperation with universities, research institutes and international organizations to enhance innovation capacity."
The focus of this year’s conference is to clarify how to effectively integrate AI (artificial intelligence) into the process of diagnosis, treatment and hospital quality management, aiming to improve patient safety and treatment efficiency. In addition, the topics also update global health trends, sustainable health care models in the digital age and directions for precision medicine in the near future.
Ms. Huynh Bich Lien, General Director of Hoan My Medical Group, emphasized: “We believe that AI is not only a support tool, but also an important catalyst to help improve professional capacity, expand academic opportunities and connect cooperation throughout the system. The conference included three pre-conference workshops, two plenary sessions and three thematic workshops with nearly 100 scientific reports, including 17 Keynote reports, 38 Oral reports and 31 Poster reports. The topics ranged from AI applications in diagnostic imaging, chronic disease management, rehabilitation to clinical pharmacy, infection control and hospital quality management.
Three thematic seminars attracted a large number of delegates with more than 50 scientific reports from the fields of Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases, Emergency Resuscitation, Paraclinical Pharmacy, Quality Management, Nursing and Infection Control.
Many topics are highly appreciated for their applicability, reflecting the progress in medical research of the Hoan My team. Notably, the reports: "Evaluation of the results of endovascular intervention to treat cerebral aneurysms" - Master, Doctor, Specialist I Pham Dinh Chuong, Hoan My Saigon Hospital; "Characteristics and prognostic value of cardiovascular events of the AGTR1 A1166C gene variant in patients with acute myocardial infarction" - Master, Doctor, Specialist I Nguyen Phuong Anh, Hoan My Saigon Hospital; "Serum lipids with the risk of 12 types of cancer according to gender and ethnicity" - Dr. Nguyen Thien Minh, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City.
The Hoan My 2025 Science and Technology Conference is a bridge for cooperation in technology transfer, training and medical research, towards a more precise, comprehensive and humane medicine.
Sharing about the significance of the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Thi Anh Thu, Director of Hoan My Training and Research Institute, said: “We wish to bring a forum where knowledge and technology meet, so that every initiative and every high-tech application aims at the highest goal - for the safety and health of patients”.
Associate Professor Thu emphasized that the rapid development of technology and artificial intelligence is opening up many new opportunities for the Vietnamese healthcare industry. However, the core value still lies in the application of technology based on medical ethics, professional standards and patient-centeredness.
Initiated in 2015, over the past decade, the Hoan My Scientific and Technical Conference has become a prestigious annual meeting place for medical professionals, actively contributing to improving the quality of treatment, medical training and the overall development of the Vietnamese healthcare industry. From 2023, the Hoan My Training and Research Institute will take on the role of organizer. Each year, the conference selects, rigorously evaluates and introduces hundreds of scientific reports, ensuring their updating and high application value.
