On August 1, the 22nd International Medical and Pharmaceutical Exhibition 2024 opened at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) - 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
The exhibition will be an effective bridge, an important trade promotion channel to help domestic and foreign pharmaceutical enterprises meet, exchange and learn from each other, in order to attract investment in the Vietnamese market, while creating opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to find partners and expand markets to countries in the region and internationally.
The exhibition brings together more than 500 booths, belonging to 450 enterprises from 22 countries and territories. This year's exhibition is held on a scale of 10,000 m2, including typical large booths such as India, Korea, Indonesia, Latvia, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, China.
The exhibition industry groups also increased to 6 main industry groups including: pharmaceuticals, functional foods, processing and packaging machinery; medical machinery and equipment; analytical, laboratory and chemical equipment; hospital services and furniture; medical tourism, medical software; dental and ophthalmic equipment; cosmetics, aesthetics, beauty equipment...
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health) Vu Tuan Cuong said that the medical equipment market in Vietnam is showing strong signs of development with a scale of 1,677.4 million USD, the eighth largest in the Asia Pacific region, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.2%. Along with that, this field has been attracting many foreign investment sources in the form of M&A - mergers and acquisitions.
Within the framework of the Vietnam Medipharm Expo 2024 exhibition, there are also activities for businesses such as: Workshop on “Medical Technology 4.0”; Trade discussion: “Cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry between Vietnam and India”; “Bidding law and updated policies, Vietnam’s pharmaceutical market”. Each activity acts as a bridge for entrepreneurs and business leaders to meet, exchange experiences, and move towards sustainable cooperation in the future.
The exhibition lasts until August 3, organized by Vinexad Company (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association.
