The exhibition introduces 42 photos and propaganda posters created by Cuban artists in the 1960s and 1970s, demonstrating the enthusiastic support, solidarity and attachment of the Cuban people to the Vietnamese people in the resistance war against the US for national salvation. This is not only a cultural event of profound significance, but also an opportunity for the Vietnamese public to better understand, be proud of and foster feelings about the special and loyal relationship between Vietnam and Cuba over the past half century; thereby, contributing to strengthening the close relationship and steadfast relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of the two countries.
Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam, said that this exhibition is a vivid demonstration of the Cuban people's deep and persistent solidarity movement towards Vietnam's heroic resistance. Many Cuban organizations such as the Organization of Solidarity with the Peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America, the Latin American Student Organization, the Revolutionary Orientation Committee and the Cuban Institute of Arts and Cinema Industry have actively encouraged the creation and dissemination of these works of great political and artistic value.

Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine, said the works demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, attachment, affection and responsibility of the Cuban and Vietnamese people in the fight against foreign invasion, gaining independence and national unification.
"The solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba was built by the two Parties and States from strategic decisions and nurtured by the pure, deep and sincere feelings between the people of the two countries. As declared by Leader Fidel Castro: 'For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to sacrifice its blood', becoming a great source of encouragement for the Vietnamese army and people to stand up against the invaders. During the resistance war against imperialism, Cuba supported the Vietnamese army and people with many assets and weapons; during the renovation process, the Cuban people joined hands and hearts with the Vietnamese people to effectively implement coordination programs and promote socio-economic development. In the context of many changes in the world situation, preserving, consolidating and developing the Vietnam - Cuba friendship is of even greater strategic significance. We believe that the Vietnam - Cuba relationship will continue to expand and develop further," Mr. Hoang Trung Dung affirmed.
