According to the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, pursuant to Article 9 of the Regulations on the "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces" Award issued together with Decision No. 1429-QD/TWĐTN-BTG dated November 23, 2021, regulations on handling violations are as follows:
In case a person who has been honored and received the "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face" award commits serious violations within 5 years of receiving the award, the Standing Committee of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund will propose to the Central Secretariat of the Youth Union to issue a decision to strip that person of the "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face" title and make it public in the mass media.
Therefore, the Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union decided to strip Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien (born in 1998) of the title "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face" in 2021 (Miss Grand International 2021) due to violations to the extent of being prosecuted.
Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was awarded the title of Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face of 2021 in the field of culture and arts.
Previously, on May 15, 2025, the Investigation Police Agency - Ministry of Public Security issued a Decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien for the crime of "Deceiving customers", as an accomplice with the defendants of Chi Em Rot Group Joint Stock Company, in the promotion of Kera candy products that did not match the declared quality.
