More than 30 kg of drugs were seized |
The Ho Chi Minh City Police Department of Drug Crime Investigation, in coordination with professional units and local police, has discovered a drug trafficking ring with a very large quantity from Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City via the southwestern road.
Initial documents collected showed that the group hid drugs in an apartment building in Binh Chanh district. Afterwards, the leaders directed their subordinates or used technology delivery applications to transport drugs to the "lower" subjects for distribution to addicts.
During the process of monitoring and solving the case, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department coordinated with professional units and local police to arrest 3 ringleaders while they were transporting drugs to an apartment in Binh Chanh to divide and hide.
The investigation team seized more than 30 kg of various drugs including: 3 cakes of Heroin, 8 kg of crystal meth, over 12 kg of Ketamine, tens of thousands of ecstasy pills and hundreds of bags of liquid drugs.
On the same day, many other working groups of Ho Chi Minh City Police simultaneously arrested 24 more subjects who played the role of accomplices and drug dealers of this criminal ring.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Police continue to direct the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department to urgently consolidate the criminal acts of buying, selling, transporting, storing, and organizing the illegal use of drugs of 27 subjects who have been arrested.
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City Police also continue to expand the investigation and thoroughly handle accomplices and especially detect and thoroughly handle related illegal drug users.
