After a period of investigation, on May 31, the Department of Investigation Police on corruption, economic , smuggling, and environmental crimes - Hoa Binh Provincial Police initiated a case and prosecuted Tran Van Huan, Director of Minh Bao An Hoa Binh Branch, for the crime of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods.

Searching the production site in Phu Binh village, Phu Nghia commune, Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province, the authorities seized 248,920 tons of fake and poor quality fertilizers; 300 tons of fertilizers with Chinese characters without sub-labels, invoices or documents proving legal origin; 45,080 tons of raw materials for making fake fertilizers; 98,133 packages including 19 types of products from many fertilizer production facilities and machinery, means of production and packaging of fake fertilizers; seized 70 tons of fake fertilizers on a tractor-trailer carrying a container on the way to be sold.
According to initial information from the investigation agency, Tran Van Huan confessed that from December 2024 until his arrest, he had produced and sold thousands of tons of fake and poor quality fertilizers to the markets in the Northern and Central provinces.
Hoa Binh Provincial Police are investigating and handling the subject according to the provisions of law.
