Today (October 15), Tri An Hydropower Company (Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai ) announced that it has just issued a new announcement about ending the reservoir overflow discharge.

Accordingly, the upstream water level of Tri An hydropower reservoir at 8:00 a.m. the same day reached 61.5m; the downstream water level of the plant reached 4.7m, the water flow to the reservoir reached 1,100m3/s. Of which, the water flow through the spillway was 160m3/s, the flow through the power turbine was 800m3/s.

It is expected that in the next 2 days, the water flow to the lake will be from 900 to 1,000 m3/s.

According to the high tide bulletin of the downstream Saigon - Dong Nai River on October 14 of the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the water level at stations in the downstream Saigon - Dong Nai River will continue to rise rapidly in the next 5 days.

It is expected that by October 18, the highest tide peak may reach above alert level 3. Therefore, the company will stop discharging water through the spillway at 9:00 a.m. on October 15.

Previously, on October 12, Tri An Hydropower Company released flood water through the spillway for the second time in 2024.
