This will be the largest drone light show in Southeast Asia to date.
The Hanoi Art Light Festival - Brilliant Thang Long was showcased using 2,024 drones on New Year's Eve.
With the theme "One Day in the Capital - A Thousand Years of History," the drone performance will be a unique work of art, encapsulating the essence of Thang Long, offering a special and meaningful experience for locals and tourists on New Year's Eve.
Drawing inspiration from the name Thang Long – a symbol of the strength and aspirations of the Vietnamese nation – the performance will tell the story of the sacred dragon converging in the magnificent and heroic capital city, shining brightly in the sky of Hanoi, a city with a thousand years of cultural heritage. At this auspicious moment of convergence between heaven and earth, this will be a unique cultural and artistic highlight welcoming the Year of the Dragon for all the people of Hanoi in particular and the whole country in general, with faith and hope for the prosperous development of the nation.
The "Hanoi Art Light Festival - Brilliant Thang Long" is expected to start from 11:30 PM on February 9, 2024 (the night of the 30th of Tet) to 12:15 AM on February 10, 2024 (the early morning of the 1st day of Tet) in the area of Nguyen Dinh Thi - Trich Sai street (near the Van Cao intersection).
The event will consist of two parts: a drone show and a high-altitude fireworks display, which is expected to be broadcast as part of a special New Year's Eve televised program by Vietnam Television (VTV).
To ensure the quality of the program and to serve tourists and locals attending in person, the organizers will arrange high-quality sound systems and screens around the performance area.
