In the house of comradeship

In order to contribute to creating conditions for officers and professional soldiers of the provincial armed forces to work with peace of mind and be attached to their units, in recent years the Provincial Military Command has promoted the work of caring for soldiers' home fronts. In particular, focusing and mobilizing social resources to build comrades' houses has contributed to helping families of officers and soldiers ease difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Toan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, presented support for building a house for comrades to the family of Major Ho Van Cua, Command Board of PTKV 4 - Hoi Xuan.

In late October 2025, in a new house that still smelled of paint in Ca Noi village, Pu Nhi commune, the Provincial Military Command held an inauguration ceremony and handed over the "Comrades' House" to the family of Major Ho Van Cua, Political Assistant, Political Department, Regional Defense Command (PTKV) 4 - Hoi Xuan. Comrade Ho Van Cua had difficult housing circumstances, his family's old house was seriously degraded, not ensuring safety, especially during the rainy season. Understanding that situation, the PTKV 4 - Hoi Xuan Command proposed that the Provincial Military Command consider supporting the construction of the "Comrades' House". After more than 4 months of construction, the spacious level 4 house with a total area of ​​80m2 was completed on schedule with a total construction cost of 300 million VND; of which, the Ministry of National Defense supported 60 million VND, the rest was saved and borrowed by the family.

Coming to join in the fun, the local authorities and comrades also gave the family many meaningful gifts to serve their daily life. In his emotions, comrade Ho Van Cua expressed his deep gratitude for the care and help of leaders at all levels, comrades and local authorities. Having a new house is a great motivation for him to continue to stick with the unit, overcome difficulties, continue to promote the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", make more efforts in his work, worthy of the trust and affection that his comrades have given him.

Building comrades' houses, gratitude houses, and great solidarity houses is not only a social security activity, but also a vivid expression of the military-civilian relationship, demonstrating the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" serving the people. In recent times, implementing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies, the Provincial Military Command has effectively led and directed the work of supporting housing for officers, soldiers and people in difficult circumstances in the area, contributing to building a solid people's heart from loving homes.

Having lived in the new house for more than 2 years, but professional military Major Dam Khac Tuyen still feels happy. He has a difficult situation, his child has a congenital heart disease, his mother is old and weak, often sick, the house is degraded but there are no conditions to repair it... Considering the family's situation, the Party Committee and the Command of the General Staff proposed that Military Region 4 support Major Dam Khac Tuyen's family to build a "Comrades' House". After nearly 3 months of construction, the house was built on an area of ​​120m2 including 1 living room, 3 bedrooms, and all the ancillary works have been completed.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Toan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, said: “Based on a deep understanding of the profound political , social, and humanistic significance of the work of supporting the construction of comrades' houses, gratitude houses, and great solidarity houses, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have identified this as one of the key tasks in the military rear policy work and the movement "The Army joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind".

Over the years, the Provincial Military Command has supported the construction of 386 "Great Unity" houses, "Houses of Gratitude", "Houses of Comrades", "Houses of 100 Dong"... The Provincial Military Command also directed its affiliated agencies and units to conduct field surveys and select the right beneficiaries, ensuring publicity and transparency. In particular, priority is given to cases of active soldiers facing housing difficulties, relatives of martyrs, policy families, poor households, lonely elderly people, people with meritorious services to the revolution... Along with the allocated defense budget, the Provincial Military Command has proactively and flexibly utilized socialized resources, enlisted the support of agencies, businesses, philanthropists and the support of officers and soldiers in the entire force. Each officer and soldier is willing to contribute funds, working days and call on relatives to participate, contributing to the widespread and sustainable effectiveness of the movement. Thanks to that, house construction activities have become a bright spot in the emulation movement to win, build a strong and comprehensive unit and strengthen the great national unity bloc.

Each newly built house not only demonstrates the solidarity and mutual love between the army and the people, but also warms the hearts of soldiers in the rear, helping soldiers in difficult circumstances to soon stabilize their lives, build a warm and happy family, and contribute to the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
