Although the international community has recently been buzzing about the "freezing of the conflict" between Russia and Ukraine and Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations, a Russian diplomat said that Moscow has not yet received any "interesting" proposals from Mr. Trump.

Russia's representative to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzya said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel on January 3 that the team of US President-elect Donald Trump has not yet made any "interesting" proposals to Russia on resolving the Ukraine conflict.
The Russian diplomat said there were some unclear and unofficial signals about readiness for something new, “we often hear the phrase freezing the conflict”.
According to the Russian diplomat at the UN, the last time on December 19, Russian President Putin clearly stated the conditions for being ready to discuss “not freezing, but completing the conflict”, provided that Russia’s legitimate security interests were respected. However, “there have been no signals from the new US administration that there is something we are really interested in,” the Russian diplomat pointed out.
Recently, the Ukrainian side also indicated "signals about some agreements", but they cannot be taken seriously.
"Where will the line be drawn when Vladimir Zelensky shows his desire to sit at the negotiating table? The longer he waits, the worse the conditions for negotiations will be for him. He has been informed about this for a long time. So the decision is up to him," added Vasily Nebenzya.
In a related development, according to the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), the West has noted that Ukraine's ability to resist the Russian army has declined and it is not ruled out that the Ukrainian army's defense capabilities will soon collapse.
According to SVR, the outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden is trying to avoid this scenario and emphasizes "providing more sophisticated weapons, including long-range missiles".
