China maintains its number one position in investment projects in Bac Ninh.

BAC NINH - To date, Bac Ninh province has attracted approximately 1,392 investment projects from Chinese partners with a total registered capital after adjustments reaching over 10.8 billion USD, accounting for 42.1% of the total number of projects and 23.7% of the total investment capital of the province.

With this result, China continues to be the leading partner in terms of the number of projects and ranks second in total investment capital among nearly 50 countries and territories investing in Bac Ninh .

Many large-scale projects by Chinese enterprises are operating effectively in the area, notably the three projects of Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd. in the expanded Que Vo Industrial Park and Nam Son Industrial Park, manufacturing electronic equipment, network devices, and multimedia audio products, with a total registered capital of US$1.15 billion; and projects of Luxshare-ICT Vietnam Co., Ltd. with a total investment of US$504 million.

According to assessments by relevant authorities, projects undertaken by Chinese enterprises, once operational, have made positive contributions to the socio -economic development of Bac Ninh province, particularly in economic restructuring, job creation, increased labor productivity, and the promotion of technology transfer and modern management expertise.

Along with investment, import and export activities between Bac Ninh and China continue to grow strongly year after year. Specifically, Bac Ninh's merchandise exports to China reached over US$2.471 billion in 2023; US$2.637 billion in 2024; and an estimated US$3 billion in the first nine months of 2025.

Conversely, the province's import value from China reached US$8.979 billion in 2023; US$11.501 billion in 2024; and is estimated at nearly US$12 billion for the first nine months of 2025.

Lychee is a key agricultural product of Bac Ninh province, with a large quantity exported to China.

Bac Ninh's main export items to China include fresh agricultural products, processed agricultural products (such as lychees, longan, etc.), and electronic components and products. Conversely, machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts, and raw materials for industrial production are the main import categories from this market.

The vibrant development of bilateral investment and trade has affirmed the role of Chinese enterprises in Bac Ninh's production and export chain, while contributing to maintaining the province's position as a leading industrial and export center in the country.
