China maintains No. 1 position in investment projects in Bac Ninh

BAC NINH - To date, Bac Ninh province has attracted about 1,392 projects with investment capital from Chinese partners with total registered capital after adjustment reaching more than 10.8 billion USD, accounting for 42.1% of the total number of projects and 23.7% of the total investment capital of the whole province.

With this result, China continues to be the leading partner in terms of number of projects and second in terms of total investment capital among nearly 50 countries and territories investing in Bac Ninh .

Many large-scale projects of Chinese enterprises are operating effectively in the area, typically the three projects of the Electronic Equipment, Network Equipment and Multimedia Audio Products Factory of Goertek Vina Science and Technology Company Limited in Que Vo Industrial Park Expansion and Nam Son Industrial Park with a total registered capital of 1.15 billion USD; projects of Luxshare -ICT Vietnam Company Limited with a total investment capital of 504 million USD.

According to the assessment of the functional sector, after coming into operation, Chinese enterprises' projects have made positive contributions to the socio -economic development of Bac Ninh, especially in economic restructuring, job creation, labor productivity improvement and promotion of technology transfer and modern management experience.

Along with investment, import-export activities between Bac Ninh and China continue to grow strongly year by year. Specifically, Bac Ninh's export turnover to China in 2023 will reach over 2.471 billion USD; in 2024 it will reach 2.637 billion USD; in the first 9 months of 2025 it is estimated at about 3 billion USD.

In the opposite direction, the province's import turnover of goods from China in 2023 will reach 8.979 billion USD; in 2024 it will reach 11.501 billion USD; and in the first 9 months of 2025 it is estimated to be nearly 12 billion USD.

Lychee is a key agricultural product of Bac Ninh province, with large quantities exported to China.

Bac Ninh’s main export items to China include fresh agricultural products, processed agricultural products (such as fabric, longan, etc.) and electronic components and products. In contrast, machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts and raw materials for industrial production are the main import items from this market.

The vibrant development of bilateral investment and trade activities has affirmed the role of Chinese enterprises in Bac Ninh's production and export chain, while contributing to maintaining the province's position as a leading industrial and export center in the country.
