On October 23, the University of Business and Technology (HUBT) held a graduation ceremony for 295 health students.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Duong Chau, Vice Principal of the school in charge of the health sector, said that in 2015, in response to the social need for a team of medical staff to take care of people's health, the school opened new training majors in health sciences including the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Nursing, with the mission of training doctors, pharmacists, and nursing bachelors with good medical skills and good medical ethics, creating a highly qualified human resource for the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

HUBT's 2023-2024 academic year ended with nearly 4,500 students graduating from 26 majors. Of these, 295 were health students, including 262 Vietnamese students and 33 international students from Laos, bringing the number of health graduates to over 900.

Among the health graduates this year, 3 students achieved excellent results, 78 students achieved good results, and 181 students achieved fair results. Notably, 2 Yk23 students passed the residency exam at Hanoi Medical University for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the survey results of the employment survey center and feedback from students, in recent years, the number of health graduates with jobs has reached a very high rate, many graduates have been recruited to work at major hospitals in Hanoi and other localities, such as Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital...

Many students from Laos, right after graduating and returning home, were accepted to work at highly reputable state medical facilities in the capital Vientiane.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Duong Chau added that this is the third graduating class of students from the Faculty of Medicine. In 2024, there will be 123 students graduating from the General Medicine major.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is the 4th graduating class. In 2024, 71 students graduated from the Pharmacy major, of which 68 students defended their theses; 3 students graduated with honors, 28 students graduated with good grades, and 40 students achieved good grades.

Faculty of Dentistry, this is the first class of students to graduate from the Faculty of Dentistry. In 2024, there were 87 students graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry, of which 24 students defended their theses; 7 students graduated with honors, 66 students achieved good grades.

The Nursing Department is the third graduating class. This year, the Nursing Department has 16 graduates, of which 1 student defended his thesis; 1 student graduated with honors, and 15 students graduated with good grades.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Duong Chau emphasized that the course of the new Doctors, Pharmacists and Nursing Bachelors present today is a special course, you have had to go through a period of training and studying during the COVID-19 pandemic. You even had to stop studying to serve the epidemic prevention with the health sector, contributing to repelling the epidemic, protecting the health and lives of the people.
