(Dan Tri) - In 2025, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering will directly admit candidates with international SAT certificates of 1,200 or higher or ACT of 26 or higher.
According to the 2025 regular university enrollment announcement of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, the direct enrollment method has many notable points.
Specifically, in addition to direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , the school directly admits two groups of students. One is specialized students of specialized high schools, national key schools with an average score of 8.0 or higher in grades 10, 11 and semester I of grade 12.
Second, candidates must have an international SAT certificate with a score of 1,200/1,600 or higher, or an ACT score of 26/36 or higher.
Candidates who wish to be directly admitted to majors that include fine arts drawing must take the exam organized by the school and achieve a score of 6.0 or higher.
In previous years, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering did not directly admit candidates with SAT or ACT scores. Instead, the school considered admission based on a combination of international standardized certificates, international English and French certificates, and high school graduation exam scores.

In the priority admission group, the school gives priority to candidates who are excellent students at the provincial level in math, physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, literature, English, French and geography.
This year, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering has 4 admission methods. In addition to direct admission and priority admission, the school considers high school transcripts, high school graduation exam scores and exam results organized by other universities.
The number of exams is expanded compared to 2024, including: thinking assessment in 2024 and 2025 of the University of Science and Technology, capacity assessment in 2025 of Hanoi National University of Education and V-SAT exam in 2025.
Last year, the school only considered the results of the thinking assessment exam.
Candidates with an English or French certificate equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher can use it to replace the English subject score in the admission combination. However, the school has not announced the method of score conversion.
Notably, candidates using their transcripts and assessment exam results will not be able to apply to majors that require fine arts such as architecture, planning, etc. These special majors only consider high school graduation exam scores and direct admission, combined with fine arts exam scores.
Another point worth noting is that candidates can use the results of the art drawing subject at other universities to apply to Hanoi University of Construction instead of being required to take this aptitude test organized by the school.
