According to India's NDTV, Iris is the first AI-powered humanoid robot teacher in the state of Kerala and possibly the entire country.
Iris is an initiative of the Kaduvayil Thangal Charitable Trust, developed in partnership witheducation technology company Makerlabs Edutech. This AI teacher can answer complex questions on a variety of topics, provide personalized voice support, and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
Iris was actually introduced to students last month and has been very popular. A video shared by Makerlabs on Instagram shows Iris equipped with wheels for increased mobility.

According to NDTV, the use of AI teachers marks a turning point in the education sector in Kerala. Iris has the ability to personalize learning, cater to different learning styles and make learning more engaging for students.
