(BLC) - Implementing the emulation movement "Teach well - learn well", in recent school years, the staff, teachers, employees and students of Doan Ket Primary School (Lai Chau city) have always been united and focused on innovating teaching and learning methods. Thanks to that, the qualityof education at the school has been increasingly improved.
In the 2022-2023 school year, Doan Ket Primary School has 16 classes with 467 students. From the beginning of the school year, the school has developed an educational plan oriented towards developing students' capacity, helping students apply knowledge into practice. The school also focuses on educating students on ethics, life values, life skills training, and social understanding; flexibly adjusting subject content and educational activities to ensure suitability and orientation towards developing students' capacity.
Talking to us, teacher Nguyen Thi Phuong - Party Cell Secretary, Principal of the school said: Determining the quality of the teaching staff is one of the important solutions to improve the quality of education. Therefore, every year, the school's Board of Directors pays attention to training, cultivating moral qualities, improving professional qualifications and skills for the teaching staff. Therefore, we create conditions for teachers to have time to study the program, improve their expertise and skills. Along with that, the school regularly organizes teaching demonstration activities, observing lessons to gain experience, and professional activities in the direction of studying lessons. Aiming to build a team of teachers with good expertise, dedication to the profession, solid pedagogical skills, and proficiency in applying information technology in teaching.

It is known that the deployment and implementation of the 2018 General Education Program (GDPT) has always been focused on by the school and fully implemented according to the directives of all levels to managers, teachers and staff. In addition to implementing emulation movements, the campaigns "Each teacher is a model of morality, self-study and creativity", "Building a friendly school, active students"... the school also connects 3 educational environments: school, family and society, aiming to mobilize the whole community to take responsibility for caring for the cause of "growing people". In particular, the school attaches importance to building in students a love for school and friends, creating motivation for them to enthusiastically compete in their studies.
Diversify forms of teaching and learning, linking school education with real life by integrating moral and personality education; national defense and security education; education on awareness of children's rights and responsibilities, gender equality; self-protection skills, anti-abuse, anti-violence, traffic safety... to equip students with life skills.
Teacher Nguyen Thi Phuong shared more: We regularly instruct homeroom teachers of each grade to maintain relationships with subject teachers and students' families so that activities are organized in a systematic manner, ensuring effective learning and training of the class. With emulation movements, every week and every month the school summarizes experiences to promptly commend and reward teachers and students who have practiced well; correct and overcome shortcomings to have effective remedial measures.
With comprehensive education for students, the quality of mass education and the rate of gifted students are higher year after year. In the 2022-2023 school year, 100% of grade 5 students completed the primary school program; 100% of students were well-behaved, polite, studious, confident and compassionate; more than 28% of students were ranked excellent and more than 22% of students were ranked good in subject assessment and educational activities; 55 students won prizes in competitions: English Olympic, Math Violympic, Vietnamese Champion via the internet at the city and provincial levels. That is the motivation for the school to continue to train and strive to become a bright spot in the educational movement of Lai Chau city.
