Memorial service, handover of martyrs' remains to hometown and giving gifts to 21 heroic Vietnamese mothers

QTO - This morning, November 28, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs coordinated with the Department of Meritorious People, Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province to hold a memorial service, hand over the remains of martyr Luong Dinh Thai to his hometown and organize gift giving to 21 living Vietnamese Heroic Mothers of Quang Tri province.

At the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs held a memorial service and sent martyr Luong Dinh Thai back to his hometown in Minh Chau commune (Dien Cat commune, old Dien Chau district), Nghe An province.

Martyr Luong Dinh Thai, born in 1948, enlisted in July 1968, participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country, and died on August 9, 1972 in Quang Tri province. In a warm and emotional atmosphere, comrades, teammates and family respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express gratitude to the martyr who devoted his youth, contributing to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs organized a gift giving ceremony for 21 surviving Vietnamese Heroic Mothers of Quang Tri province (worth 1 million VND/gift). Although the gift was not large, it was a deep gratitude for the sacrifice and great contribution of the mothers in the struggle for national liberation.
